Furnace Replacement Toronto & GTA

80% and 96% AFUE gas furnaces from all major brands. Honest advice on repair vs replace. Same-day installation available. TSSA-licensed.

What We Do

From full furnace replacement to honest repair assessments — we tell you what your furnace actually needs, not just what generates the most revenue for us.

96% High-Efficiency Furnace

Vents through PVC — no chimney required. Roughly 20% less gas consumed vs an 80% unit. Pays back the price difference in 4–7 years for most GTA homes. Best long-term choice.

80% Standard Efficiency Furnace

Lower upfront cost. Uses conventional metal flue — a direct swap if your existing venting is in place. Good choice when selling soon or when PVC routing is impractical.

Furnace Repair & Diagnostic

We diagnose before recommending. If the repair makes more financial sense than replacing, we'll tell you. If the furnace is past its useful life, we'll tell you that too — honestly.

Furnace Replacement Questions

Complete furnace replacement in the GTA typically runs $3,800–$8,500 including equipment and installation. The main variables are 80% vs 96% AFUE, brand, BTU capacity, and whether venting changes are needed. We provide a same-day written quote for most jobs.
For most GTA homeowners planning to stay 8+ years, yes. The price difference is typically $800–$1,500. With 6+ months of heating season in Ontario, the fuel savings usually cover that gap in 4–7 years. If you're selling in 2–3 years, the 80% unit makes more financial sense.
Key indicators: furnace is 15+ years old, repair cost exceeds 50% of a new unit, you're calling for repairs more than once a year, or there's a cracked heat exchanger. A cracked heat exchanger is a carbon monoxide risk — that means immediate replacement, no exceptions.
Most replacements take 4–6 hours and we aim to have your heat back on the same day. Unusual venting configurations or ductwork modifications may take longer — we'll tell you upfront when we quote the job.
Yes. All gas appliance replacements in Ontario require a gas permit and TSSA inspection. We handle the permit application and arrange for inspection — it's included in your quote. You don't need to call anyone yourself. Never hire a contractor who skips permits on gas work — it voids your insurance and creates liability if something goes wrong.
Sizing is done by Manual J load calculation — not by matching your old furnace. Most Toronto detached homes (1,500–2,500 sq ft) fall in the 60,000–100,000 BTU range. An oversized furnace short-cycles, wears out faster, and leaves rooms uncomfortable. We size every job properly before recommending equipment.
In most cases yes. We inspect your existing ductwork and note any leaks, restrictions, or sizing issues during the quote visit. If your ducts are undersized for a two-stage or variable-speed furnace, we'll tell you and quote any modifications separately. Most GTA homes have serviceable ductwork that works fine with a new furnace.
Yes — our main office is in Thornhill. We serve the entire GTA including Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, Ajax, Pickering, Aurora, and Newmarket. Same-day service is available across most of these areas.
